Thanks for inviting my contact! I'm distressed that my Presbyterian church here in Los Angeles has attempted to rewrite Micah. I see that your church too has substituted "kindness" for "mercy." Would you happen to know who came up with that idea, and when, and why? Anyone can be kind. But mercy -- forgiveness -- is the daily challenge for practicing Christians; personally, the part that leaves me doubled over, that reminds me I'm a sinner. If you have a moment to forward some background for this decision by a presbytery, synod, whatever, wherever, I'd be in your debt. I would never seek to rewrite anyone else's Bible ... and don't take kindly to the rewriting of mine. Thanks -- Bob, Pacific Palisades CA
